Thank you to all of the parent help and support for the Wizard Walk and Family Fun Night--a very successful indoor fun night event this year :)!
Please continue to read with your child and listen to your child read at home. This week we did not take books home in book bags, as I began to inventory our book lab books to return to the book room. If you are in need of just right books for these last couple of weeks, please let me know and I can send a bag of books home with your child to read. If your child has books at home that they are interested in, please encourage this exciting reading! **Please be on the look out for library books/take home books at home and return as soon as possible!
Next week we can look forward to beginning double digit addition/subtraction, finishing up habitats and continuing on with our amazing realistic fiction stories and practicing for the first grade finale!

May 28th (Wednesday)...LBW race @ the high school track, 4:30pm
May 30th (Friday)...Locks of Love (11:30am) & First Grade Finale @ 2:30-3:15pm
June 4th (Wednesday)...First Grade Picnic @ John Collins Park, 11:30am
June 5th (Thursday)...Year End Assembly (2pm)
June 6th (Friday)...Last Day of School, dismissal at 11:27am
If your child has a summer birthday and HAS NOT celebrated it yet (and would like to), please let me know as soon as you can so that we can set up a time! Time sure is going fast!
We will continue to have parent volunteers for one more week! Thank you to all parents that have come to help out this year! I greatly appreciate you! If you are volunteering during the First Grade Finale practices and have not been contacted yet to confirm your times, please let me know! I also apologize for the mishap with the dates not matching the days :(...that was my fault.
