Thank you for turning in your conference sheets this week to confirm your conferences!  If you haven't had a chance to send them in yet, or need another copy, please let me know.  I'd be happy to send another sheet home.

Art to Remember order forms are coming home today.  If you are interested in purchasing an item with your child's artwork on it, it makes a great Mother's Day or Father's Day gift!

Science News...We wrapped up our science unit on Sorting by Properties this week and will begin our Weather Watchers unit next week!
Reading News...We are learning about different text features that nonfiction books have by getting to know some "friends" of ours:  Illustrations Ellie, Photograph Phil, Caption Carl, Labels Lisa, Keyword Kenny and Table of Contents Tabitha.  We will continue learning about a few more friends next week!
Writing News...Our writing is beginning to be very convincing with our persuasive unit.  Be on the look out in the hallway at conferences for some samples :).
Math News...We also wrapped up our unit on relationships between addition and subtraction and now are diving deep into Numbers and Operations in Base 10.  Please review the sheets brought home today for a deeper explanation.  These games and vocab cards are for home use and do not need to be brought back to school!
