On Wednesday, your child took home a manila envelope with information about Wealthy Elementary's one and only fundraiser: The Wizard Walk. Please read through this packet carefully. If you have any questions, please let me know. Our Wizard Walk is scheduled during school hours, beginning at 1:30 pm, on May 15th (send good walking shoes this day). That evening, we will have a family fun night on the field. Looking forward to seeing you there!
We welcomed six new members to our classroom on Wednesday. Six teeny tiny monarch larva arrived just in time for spring! We have four milkweed plants to feed their voracious appetites for the next 12 days, increasing their weight almost 3,000 times! We will get to experience each stage in the life cycle (hopefully!!) and be able to release them when they are beautiful monarchs.
Speaking of butterflies, thank you in advance to our volunteers for our field trip tomorrow: Sue (Tommy's mom), Sue (Trent's mom), Heather (Addie's mom), Shellie (Evan's mom), Steph (Will E's mom), Nick (Henry's mom), Kelly & Jim (Monica's parents), Amy (Abby's mom) and Katrina (Tess's mom). We will be leaving after lunch (around 12:30pm) and returning to school around 3:00pm. Parents will meet us at the Gardens. It will be a beautiful day to observe the butterflies and hopefully have some time to explore the Children's Garden as well!

May 21st: Kindergarten/Young 5s Parent Information Meeting (2-3pm or 7-8pm) at the high school
May 26th: No school, Memorial Day
June 6th: Last Day of School
