WOW!  If you get a chance to see Willy Wonka, our school production, tonight (7pm), tomorrow (7pm) or Saturday (2pm), please do!  This afternoon, we were fortunate to watch their dress rehearsal, which went so flawlessly that there didn't seem to be a need for a rehearsal.  It's an amazing show with amazing talent.  The first grade Candy Chorus is featured at the beginning of the show in this video:  https://vimeo.com/m/88113003.

Tomorrow...a conference reminder sheet will be coming home in your child's folder.  These dates mirror the fall conference dates.  If you have found that this date does not work for you, please let me know as soon as possible.  Conferences will be Thursday, March 27th and Tuesday, April 1st.

Sunday...is the opening day for the Scholastic Book Fair in our library.  Books and various trinkets will be on sale, with a certain percentage coming back to the Wealthy PTO.  We will be taking a class visit to book fair on Wednesday at 2:30 (right after recess).  If you are interested in having your child purchase a book, you can send in money for Wednesday.  If you are interested in coming with us to the library (it will be from 2:30-3:00), I would welcome the help!  You are welcome to come after school to shop as well.  Thursday will be the last day.

Thursday...is our second and final swimming class from 1:00-2:30.  Thank you in advance to Katrina and Matt for helping out with this!  Please do not forget to send a towel, swimsuit and extra (plastic) bag for wet things!

Tuesday, March 11th...The PTO is holding an important meeting in Pioneer Auditorium at 8:30am concerning the EGRNow Campaign and the new EGR Bond proposal for May.  More information will be coming home in their folders about this meeting.  As the former PTO Lakeside secretary and EGRNow supporter, I would highly recommend learning as much as possible about our school funding from the state and our needs as a district.

Monday, March 17th-21st...The Student Leadership Council has selected this week as our Wealthy Spirit Week!  There is much fun to be had!

  • Monday:  St. Patrick's Day (wear green!)
  • Tuesday:  Pajama Day (we will been having a 1st grade fun morning with reading, reading, reading in celebration of reading month!)
  • Wednesday:  Dress Like Your Parents Day
  • Thursday:  Crazy Hair Day
  • Friday:  Favorite Sports Team Day
Have a great weekend full of sunshine!
